Trunnion Mounted

A trunnion-mounted ball valve is used for on-off applications in pipelines. This quarter-turn valve opens when the ball's hole aligns with the flow and closes when rotated 90 degrees. It typically features a lockable handle for flow control. The ball is fixed by a stem and trunnion, with spring-loaded seats that seal under varying pressures. Compared to floating valves, it offers a wider size and pressure range, with lower operating torque, reducing actuator costs.
